Robert Lacombe’s horticulture and hydroponics work began in California and developed alongside years as a science educator.

He uses growing as a hands-on way to teach plant biology, environmental systems and practical horticultural skills. His approach connects observation and scientific understanding with cultivating crops, tending growing systems and preparing a harvest.

At Interagency Academy, Robert coordinates Interagency Provenance across the Columbia City garden and greenhouse and the KCYS hydroponics program. He directs the growing and making while students carry out the work behind the goods.
