The scent stays with the cloth.
Lavender’s place in household scent makes a sachet a natural companion to Second Sight. The tea tells the story through a cup; this small linen pocket keeps the flowers close to cloth.
The proposal is simple: dried English lavender buds with a little thyme, enclosed in a sewn sachet for a drawer. The linen, cut herbs and paper story tag give the preparation its physical character. It is a modern object, not a replica of an Elizabethan recipe.
The folklore belongs on the story card. Inside is an aromatic harvest, intended for its scent alone. No sleep, pest-repellent or supernatural effect is claimed.
Second Sight
One English plant-lore account gives lavender an unexpected role: worn in the hair, it was thought to reveal ghosts. A household fragrance becomes a threshold to an unseen world.
