A different life for the flower.
The same calendula that gives a tea its gold can lead to an entirely different preparation. Its sun-linked name supplies the story; an oil infusion gives this companion its form.
Bride of the Sun Hand Salve is a modern cosmetic concept for everyday hand conditioning. Dried flowers would be infused in olive oil, filtered, then combined with beeswax for a firm, rich texture. The practical aim is a small jar for use after washing or garden work.
Calendula has a documented history in European skin preparations. That history does not validate this formula or turn it into a wound treatment. We are developing an ordinary hand-care product, with the flower harvest visible in the story behind the jar.
Bride of the Sun
Calendula was known as Solis Sponsa—the Bride of the Sun. Its gold petals traveled between the symbolic garden and the medieval cooking pot.
