THE MODERN PREPARATION

The leaf, carried close.

The Minthe story begins with a plant’s transformation. This companion takes a different, everyday form: a small twist-up lip balm, with the garden leaf at the beginning of its making.

The proposed process infuses fully dried spearmint in oil, filters out the leaf, then combines the oil with wax. We envision a simple, firm stick with a modest glide; the finished aroma and texture still need to be established.

This is a modern cosmetic concept, not an ancient preparation or a remedy for chapped lips. Mint can irritate sensitive lips, so formulation and lip suitability need assessment before this concept can become a finished product. No added menthol or essential oil is proposed.

THE STORY BEHIND THE OBJECT

Preparation Notes & Sources for Minthe Below

Proposed plant: Mentha spicata. Mint in lip products can be irritating; an infusion is not assumed to remove that concern. This is an unvalidated cosmetic concept. The AAD guidance informs formulation review, not a benefit claim. FDA guidance explains the need to substantiate finished-product safety.
